First Image
I narrowed my images down to two possible outcomes. I then played around with them editing them in different ways to see what i thought looked good, and matched the convention of composition on normal magazines.
I edited this just by making it lighter and the colours more bold. I quite like this one but i found if difficult to get rid of the shadow of the camera so i will not use this in my final piece.
In this second edit i really wanted to make Her face the main focus. Therefore i made the rest of the image black and white which i think has had a really good effect. I love the way her face is so vibrant compared to the rest of the image. I also think the positioning is brilliant as there is a perfect amount of room for titles and headings around the page.

Second Image
The composition of this photo is perfect for a magazine cover. The positioning of the image is just right for the normal codes of conventions. I did a focal black and white on this image to enhance the image and colour on the girl. I like the angle of this shot, i haven't done a high angel or a low angled shot. This is because i like image at eye level, i think for a front cover shot, if the artist is at eye level it makes it seem more as if she is at your level. Therefore it makes it more personal to the audience if they feel like the artist is at their level and is directly looking at them.

I liked the idea of having the image with the background completely black. However now i have done it i don't think it looks as good as i thought. I don't like the way it doesn't look very natural. i much prefer the image with the original background. It gives the overall look of the magazine a more natural look rather than looking like the photo was taken in a studio.
